Martin Gendelman

Composer, Musician, Writer

A native of Argentina, Martín Gendelman is a composer and educator currently residing in the Washington DC metropolitan area.

His creative work, which includes pieces for soloists, chamber groups and orchestra, as well as several cross-disciplinary projects, touches on both the electronic and the acoustic domains, and has been presented in Europe, South America, and the United States. He holds degrees from La Plata National University (Argentina), California State University Northridge, and The University of Maryland.

Currently, he serves in the faculty of The Levine School of Music. In recent years, he has been a faculty member at the University of Maryland College Park, University of Maryland Baltimore County, The Catholic University of America, and Towson University.
